Refusing to ignore people in crisis

In this exciting role you will be part of the British Red Cross communications division and managing the northern England communications team, based in our busy Manchester office.

The responsibility of the UK communications manager is to ensure the effective implementation of communications programmes across the region, as agreed by the head of UK operations communications, and in co-ordination with members of both the regional management team and communications management team.

This is a senior, strategic role requiring professional communications experience at managerial or senior officer level. You will assume responsibility for crisis communications management as appropriate, including reputation management, change management and emergency response support and some out of hours working and UK travel will be required.
