Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

We are looking to recruit two Senior Policy Officers, both on 12 month fixed term contracts.

Your role will be to:

  • Oversee projects, driving development and implementation of policy and standards;
  • Collaborate with colleagues and team members to meet shared goals;
  • Monitor developments which affect the policy environment;
  • Effectively engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Present work to managers and senior leaders, and provide recommendations and advice;
  • Support and motivate fellow team members, and develop your own knowledge, skills and experience with support from colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

  • You will be expected to have proven ability to work effectively in a policy, public affairs or regulatory environment, and be familiar with established methods of policy analysis and development. An understanding of professional regulation would also be an advantage;
  • You will need to show a collaborative and organised approach to work, ability to develop analysis and arguments based on evidence, and to have excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Work arrangements

You would be based at our offices in Kennington, South London. A minimum attendance in the office is one day per working week.
