Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

As a Senior Account Executive (SAE) at iNHouse you will be a central point of contact for teams in terms of day-to-day rhythm of planned client activity. You will have a strong understanding of the clients’ programmes and are increasingly taking responsibility for delivering elements of client projects/programmes with supervision from the relevant Account Manager.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Keeping track of progress reports for your teams and clients and being clear about timelines and expectations for programme delivery. Providing support and guidance to AEs to ensure the right materials are ready for meetings and reports and updates are circulated on time;
  • Inputting into the development and implementation of creative public affairs and political communications programmes through insights from your daily monitoring and research. This increasing knowledge of client business/sector/issues ensures you can spot and recommend suitable client opportunities;
  • Working with AEs to ensures relevant news, political and competitor activity is monitored, up-dating teams and clients on an hourly/ daily basis as appropriate;
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of politics and policy development across Government departments, the Opposition and relevant UK political institutions;
  • Developing strong engagement and relationship building skills with clients, and playing an active role in client meetings and all day-to-day engagement.

This is the job for you if you:

  • Have an active interest and growing understanding of politics and policy development across Government departments, the Opposition and relevant UK political institutions;
  • Have a high standard of written work with excellent attention to detail;
  • Are a strong team player, enjoying variety and pace and consistently show initiative, not waiting to be asked. Proactively picking up tasks when help is needed;
  • Enjoy networking and are enthusiastic about life in Westminster, and are keen to attend iNHouse and external events and build your network;
  • Are an Account Executive (or equivalent) looking to take the next step in your career, or a current Senior Account Executive looking for a change of agency.

We're particularly looking for:

A positive can-do attitude, and a desire to immerse yourself in life in Westminster.

What you don't need:

A degree or a traditional educational background.
