Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Policy, Programmes, and Public Affairs to help shape and drive our mission forward. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to influence national policy, lead groundbreaking research, and spearhead powerful campaigns that make a difference in the lives of Romani, Traveller, and Roma communities. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of setting and achieving TM’s policy goals.

You’ll work closely and collaboratively with a small passionate team of colleagues across the organization, ensuring that our strategic objectives are met. By consulting with internal and external stakeholder groups and networks, you will develop innovative policy, research, and campaigning initiatives that resonate on both local and national levels. Your ability to dissect complex policy issues and recognize their relevance to the Traveller Movement will be crucial. You’ll need to identify practical and impactful policy solutions, bringing fresh perspectives and creative strategies to the table. Your work will not only guide the organization’s direction but also empower user voice influence decision-makers, and drive lasting change. If you’re a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of policy development, research, and public affairs, can multitask and manage programmes and you’re eager to make a tangible impact, we want to hear from you.

The post holder will be required to occasionally travel across Britain, and undertake evening and weekend work where necessary and required for the post.
