The Difference - with our colleagues, IPPR and Impetus - are embarking on a 3-year campaign to re-write this story. In the run up to a general election, The Difference charity will update its seminal IPPR report. This new paper will expand the issue of exclusion and diagnose the drivers of increasing numbers of children not feeling belonging or safety at school. It will set out bold solutions for national policy affecting all children, building on the work being done in exceptional schools across the country.
Working with our coalition partners, the communications campaign will drive a clear message up the country’s political agenda. Front and centre will be the voices of young people which - when listened to in schools - can see safeguarding and mental health threats identified early and mitigated, before young people lose learning. Join us to lead this campaign.
Our Head of Campaigns & Communications will drive the campaign to make schools meaningfully more inclusive. This person will develop the strategy of the campaign, build opportunities to hear from voices across a campaign coalition, and create nuanced communications to influence the sector with our messages. We’re looking for someone who is excited by the prospect of creating the opportunity to make meaningful change to the country’s schools in the next three years.
