The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Polimonitor is expanding, with sustained growth in 2023 and 2024 and a strong pipeline in place the business is looking for a Client Development Manager.

Supporting our existing clients this role is critical to the future growth of the business through exceptional relationship management and identifying opportunities to upsell and develop new product solutions.

Working in a commercial team of four, this role is essential in supporting the growth ambitions of the business.

Team culture

The Client Development Manager will join a small, dynamic commercial team, working closely in a collaborative environment. Individual team members work hard and collaboratively to hit or even to exceed revenue goals. We are focused on the team win and celebrate individual and team success together. The role will be based at our London office in Westminster with hybrid working arrangements. We are therefore looking for a candidate who can work autonomously and in a team.

About the Role

This is a new role in the business as a direct result of a sustained period of growth.

This role will be expected to ensure that we retain and grow our most important customers through exceptional service and developing upsell opportunities. The role is a mix of office based and face to face meetings and you will be expected to manage your own diary.

Working in a small team, this role is essential in supporting the growth ambitions of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility to retain all customers, upselling to increase client value, and ensuring that customer expectations are consistently exceeded;
  • Building strong relationships with clients to genuinely understand their business;
  • Agreeing service requirement and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of agreed service across client base;
  • Managing customer complaints with the ability to provide service solutions to varied and changing problems;
  • Competently present and positioning the PoliMonitor service on the phone and in face-to-face meetings;
  • Weekly forecasting of renewals based on customer satisfaction and account status.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree level;
  • Demonstrable, relevant sales experience is essential;
  • Proven track record of subscription/solution selling within a B2B information provider;
  • Political sector experience is ideal but not essential.

  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Value selling;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Experience of using Hubspot or equivalent CRM system to manage opportunities and forecast;
  • Excellent relationship building skills;
  • Ability to synthesise complex situations and make sound decisions based on key information;
  • An interest in current affairs, news and/or politics.
