YIMBY Alliance is the UK’s leading pro-housing campaign group, campaigning for policies to end the housing crisis and make housing more affordable by building more homes. We advocate for a better planning system to deliver more homes in areas where they are most acutely needed.
About the role
We’re looking to expand our grassroots work: reaching out to volunteers and helping them organise for more homes in their communities. You would work to recruit group leads in key cities and support them to grow their organisations. You would also help lead our expanded programme of events, helping with logistics and content.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who’s passionate about tackling the housing crisis, politically aware, highly organised, a self-starter and wants to play a key role in solving the UK’s most pressing policy challenges.
We value a diverse workplace and strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit, motivate and manage volunteers;
- Support and grow local YIMBY groups;
- Design and deliver resources and training for local groups;
- Update and maintain our volunteer list;

- Write updates on UK housing policy for our blog.
Your role will include helping with other aspects of campaign organisation, logistics and administration as necessary, including attending conferences and events around the UK.
