The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

Edelman is looking for an Account Director or Associate Director to join the growing energy practice within its 23-strong award winning Public Affairs team in London. Edelman is one of the UK’s leading public affairs consultancies in the energy space, having won the Business Green “Green PR Agency of the Year” award in 2013 and with a client base covering the full energy spectrum including GE Hitachi, RenewableUK, Balfour Beatty, Eggborough Power Station, Air Products, Renewable Energy Association, Ovo Energy, URS and Endurance Wind Power.

Energy is a key growth area for Edelman, and we pride ourselves on offering clients a high degree of policy understanding as well as outstanding public affairs expertise and first class networks across Westminster, Whitehall and the broader stakeholder community.

Required attributes

  • As the role will focus largely on Edelman’s industry-leading energy practice, strong understanding of the energy sector and UK energy policy in particular is essential;
  • Knowledge of broader issues around infrastructure, property and planning would also be beneficial;
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within Government, Parliament, the civil service and/or within the public affairs industry, either agency or in-house;
  • The role will focus on public affairs, however experience of media and broader communications disciplines is also beneficial;
  • At Account/Associate Director level, we are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair; to lead large accounts; and provide sound political / communications advice.

The successful applicant will join our growing staff based in our new offices in London and will become an integral part of the team, while leading on a range of client accounts.

Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience.
