Jefferson Communications is a strategic communications consultancy providing public relations, public affairs, corporate and crisis communications, for a range of clients across healthcare, property, technology and finance.

We are office-based five days a week in Moorgate in the City of the London with ad-hoc flexible working.

The Opportunity:

As an Account Manager, you will work directly with the CEO and play a key role in driving the business forward.

This position is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives on responsibility and independence and is eager to make a significant impact within a small, ambitious team.

The role provides deep client exposure from day one, with the chance to lead accounts across diverse sectors and build high-impact client relationships.

With a structure focused on results rather than hierarchy, this role rewards initiative and offers a direct path to influence the business strategy and build lasting client connections.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Account Manager, you will lead and manage key client accounts, ensuring satisfaction through successful campaign delivery and open communication.

You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with strategic insights and updates.

Your role will involve overseeing projects across public relations, including press office, media relations, campaigning, events and social media, and public policy, including regulatory campaigning, stakeholder mapping, and parliamentary events, all while coordinating seamlessly with the rest of the team to ensure success.

Additionally, this role allows you to drive business growth by identifying and securing new client opportunities and managing referrals, while also guiding junior team members on best practices, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

What we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest and experience in politics, media, and/or policy.

You must have exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, and an acute attention to detail. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as well as an adaptable approach to problem-solving.

You must be reliable, confident, and proactive, with a mindset ready to take initiative.
