The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The role will involve driving a diverse programme of work across PR, PA, Corporate Communications, campaigns, reputation management, and crisis communications for Lodestone’s clients. We are looking for a talented individual who will be able cover the following:

  • Create and deliver exciting PR, Public Affairs and digital programmes for clients;
  • Run a press office – developing news stories, handling PR, pitching stories and reputation management;
  • Closely monitor parliamentary business, provide political analysis, digest policy and be part of a public affairs delivery team;
  • Building & developing strong relationships with clients, journalists, political and industry stakeholders;
  • Attend client meetings and deliver high quality client service;
  • Write corporate materials and develop compelling content for press releases, digital content, speeches and political analysis;
  • Organise events and stakeholder consultations for clients and projects across the UK, in Parliament and at the Party Conferences;
  • Be involved in pitching, business development and writing proposals;
  • Network and win new business;
  • Manage and mentor junior members of staff on accounts.

The Candidate

We are looking for an Account Manager that displays the following experience and attributes:

  • Proven experience in an agency, political/parliamentary, in-house, media or equivalent role;
  • The ability to hit the ground running, with a can-do attitude and an action-oriented approach;
  • Strong knowledge of the UK political system and/or the media landscape;
  • The ability to pitch ideas in a compelling way to clients, colleagues and the media;
  • Enjoys writing and digesting complex policy issues;
  • An eye for detail, and the ability to deliver high quality output and client service;
  • Can work collaboratively in a team or independently – enjoys a fast-paced environment;
  • Curious about the world with a passion for understanding complex issues.
