Yatterbox has re-launched its social media monitoring service with a new design and the addition of over 20,000 UK-based journalists. This latest addition comes after last year’s expansion to include EU-based policymakers and takes the total number of key influencers in the system to over 25,000.
To publicise the launch, Yatterbox has sent an army of Ron Burgundies to the top 120 PR agencies in London.
Founded in 2010, Yatterbox originally tracked 600 UK-based politicians, but this latest expansion adds to the influencers drawn from the media, blogosphere, politics, think tanks, government departments and other important individuals.
Access to the service, available online and on mobile platforms, is currently free of charge, with no immediate plans to charge for use. Anybody can sign-up free on their website.
Yatterbox Head of Product, Ben Carson, said: “With more than 30 million Tweets now posted every day in the UK, it is more vital than ever that organisations are able to separate what is important from the general noise on social media.
“By adding every UK-based journalist active on social media into the Yatterbox system we now provide a service where PR, communications and government relations professionals ensure they are alerted the second someone important to them says something relevant to their organisation.
“The volume of activity on social media will increase exponentially in the coming years and so the carefully curated lists of influencers developed by Yatterbox are going to be vital in ensuring communications professionals keep ahead of the game.”
