Westminster Advisers has been appointed by L&Q to support the housing association manage its strategic public affairs and communications during a period of substantive change for the organisation.
L&Q is one of the UK’s leading providers of affordable housing, has announced intentions to merge with two other housing associations, The Hyde Group and East Thames. The combined group will have the capability to deliver up to 100,000 new homes and will be one of the largest housebuilders in the UK.
With increasing political pressure to improve the supply of new homes, Westminster Advisers will support L&Q to ensure it is able to work with central government and City Hall to deliver a substantial increase in critically needed new affordable housing supply. It will help communicate L&Q's vision to key policymakers highlighting the policy framework needed for the government to meet its housing building targets and building awareness of L&Q as a key largescale housing delivery partner to government.
