WA Health, the specialist healthcare arm of WA Communications, has appointed two account directors to further strengthen its growing health practice.
The new hires come off the back of several high-profile clients wins for the agency and exceptional growth in 2017. Stan Jackson and Peter Wasson join WA from Huntsworth Health and the Royal College of Physicians respectively, bringing a wealth of communications experience with them.
Jackson has spent over five years in healthcare public affairs and the media, having previously been an EU business journalist and formerly Head of Communications for the fitness sector trade body ukactive. More recently he has worked as a consultant in the health sector, supporting global pharmaceutical clients on a range of high-profile public affairs and public relations strategies.
Wasson began his career working for an MP. He led campaigns for the Patients Association and worked on strategic healthcare briefs at MHP Health and Blue Rubicon. He previously headed-up the Royal College of Physician’s policy campaigns team, and has a wealth of policy expertise.
WA Health has also promoted Emily Cameron to Senior Account Director, in recognition of her contribution the health practice’s growth in the past year.
