Interel has announced that they are boosting their Brussels-based EU food and consumer practice with Vinciane Patelou joining as Director.
Patelou will reinforce Interel’s credentials in the fast-growing food and consumer sectors as the global public affairs consultancy has seen rapid growth over the last three years. She has an in-depth knowledge of the food sector ranging from agricultural production through marketing and consumption, public health and environment.
The new director has significant experience of advising well-known consumer-facing multinationals. She has worked in a number of consultancies and most recently at cabinet DN. She has a track record of leading a broad range of advocacy campaigns and is particularly strong on navigating the EU’s complex decision-making processes as well as on crisis management and communication.
Patelou commented: “Interel’s excellent reputation with EU decision-makers, with clients and within the PA profession is well known and I am thrilled to be a part of this. The company’s integrated approach is of particular relevance in my field, where consumers are increasingly voting with their feet and forcing companies to be much more aware of where and how public opinions are shaped”.
Grégoire Poisson, EU Managing Partner at Interel said: “'Vinciane is great hire for us: she has all the senior public affairs expertise, credentials and human qualities to create superior value for our clients and bring fresh inspiration to the team. It is a perfect match which gives Interel an additional edge and will drive our growth in the food and consumer sectors in Brussels”.
