Total Politics Group has appointed Angus Parsad-Wyatt as the new Director of Political Engagement. In this capacity, Parsad-Wyatt will oversee the development of Total Politics’ growing Westminster business, which provides: the UK’s leading political media platforms, including The House and PoliticsHome; prominent parliamentary events, including the UK’s largest programme of Party Conference fringes; and the country’s most significant political digital advertising network.
With a distinguished background spanning roles at ConservativeHome, the CBI, and Channel 4, Angus brings exceptional leadership and commercial expertise to drive the continued growth and success of Total Politics’ political offering.
Additionally, this appointment will see the integration of ConservativeHome’s sales and events operations into Total Politics, following last year’s deal to provide advertising sales and operations for ConservativeHome and LabourList. This strategic move enhances our Westminster portfolio, bolstering Total Politics’ position as the premier provider of political engagement across all parties, year-round.
This operational change will not affect the editorial independence or content of any media title. Each brand will retain its distinct identity, with editorial decisions continuing to be made by their respective editors. Alan White will remain Editor-in-Chief, overseeing the editorial teams for The House and PoliticsHome, while ConservativeHome’s editorial team will be led by its Editor, Giles Dilnot.
Mark Wallace, Chief Executive of Total Politics, said:
“Angus brings extensive media, commercial and political expertise to the business at an exciting time in politics and political publishing. In a period of rapid political and technological change, growing economic challenges and ever-increasing audience sophistication, Total Politics is well-placed to illuminate the Westminster landscape for readers, event attendees and commercial partners alike – this is the next step in our growth.”
Angus Parsad-Wyatt said:
"I am delighted to become Total Politics' Director of Political Engagement at this pivotal time and to work alongside the talented teams across PoliticsHome, The House magazine, ConservativeHome and beyond. Each title has a proud history and clear brand identity, and together they form an unparalleled platform for political engagement. By further strengthening our relationships with audiences and clients, we will drive growth across the business, and help our partners achieve their political engagement objectives across the political spectrum, year-round.”
