The former Deputy Head of Press at Number 10, Sean Kemp, has joined Open Road as a Senior Consultant. Kemp is an experienced corporate communications specialist, having been Head of Political Communications for the Liberal Democrats before the formation of the coalition government.
Before joining the political party to manage their press office during the 2010 General Election campaign, Kemp worked as a journalist for the Evening Standard and Independent.
Graham McMillan, Chief Executive of Open Road, said: “Sean brings a wealth of experience from Number Ten across communications, media, crisis management, politics and public affairs. He will be a fantastic addition to our team in the run up to an incredibly close election in 2015 and will help us to continue to grow our corporate communications, crisis and public affairs practices.”
Sean Kemp said: “Open Road has an enviable reputation and I’m delighted to be joining their team. I look forward to working with existing clients and to broadening the client portfolio.”
