Meeting the demand for faster, deeper actionable insights, Europe's leading public affairs-led communications group Rud Pedersen has hired an experienced research specialist to drive its policy, reputation and media analysis for corporate clients and investors.

Aldo Sands has joined the firm to coordinate its expert capabilities in political and regulatory intelligence and market analysis, building upon an established research team in London and drawing on Rud Pedersen’s 20 offices across Europe.  He has been tasked with enhancing the firm's real-time briefings and deep dive investigations, embedding artificial intelligence tools to interrogate data and deliver accelerated competitive advantage for clients.

Sands joins from Macro Advisory Partners where he contributed to the growth of its global public policy, regulation and geopolitics work. Earlier in his career, he worked at Sard Verbinnen & Co (now FGS Global) and Oliver Wyman. He holds a Master's from the London School of Economics and his first degree from the University of Cambridge, where he won the Smales-Charmes Prize.

Jon Aarons, Managing Partner at Rud Pedersen, said: “Aldo delivers razor-sharp perspectives to help businesses navigate complex political, regulatory and reputational environments. We’re pleased to bring him on board in this new role which will bring together what clients most value – know-how and foresight on issues that are coming over the horizon.  A.I. is rapidly making traditional monitoring obsolete; rather than reporting yesterday's news, we need to anticipate tomorrow's risks and opportunities."

The appointment takes Rud Pedersen’s London team of full-time professionals up to 20, three years since the opening of the group’s UK office.
