European public affairs and strategic communications group, Rud Pedersen, has added to its fast-growing London office with the appointment of Celia Stewart as a Senior Consultant.
Stewart most recently worked in Whitehall as a Senior Policy Advisor across departments including the Ministry of Justice and the Cabinet Office. During her time working at the heart of the UK’s central government she had responsibility for communications, social and digital media. At the Cabinet Office, Stewart played a key role in supporting Ministers and senior officials on Operation Yellowhammer, the Government’s contingency planning for the most severe disruption under a potential ‘no-deal’ Brexit.
After graduating initially from Leeds University, Stewart qualified as a journalist, with a Masters from the highly regarded City University course, and has worked as a reporter and feature writer for various publications and national newspapers including The Times, The Telegraph and The Guardian.
Rud Pedersen’s UK Managing Partner, Jon Aarons, commented “It’s great to welcome another first-class addition to our London team. After a highly successful year one start-up, we have kicked off 2023 with strong momentum and fierce optimism for the opportunities in front of us. Brexit Britain remains a challenging and turbulent market for our clients, whether long-established in the UK and contending with political change, or new entrants bewildered by the regulatory minefield. Our mission is to guide them safely to the other side.”
Celia Stewart added “I am delighted to join the Rud Pedersen team at such an exciting and pivotal time as they continue to grow the London office with a successful first year under their belt. With an already established European network and global reach, the Rud Pedersen Group has a fantastic reputation among clients and I am looking forward to helping develop client relations in the London market.”
