European public affairs and strategic communications group, Rud Pedersen, has added to its fast-growing London office with the appointment of Chelsea Whyte as a Consultant.
Previously supporting the Liberal Democrats’ Leader in the European Parliament, Catherine Bearder MEP, Whyte most recently served as political, campaigns and communications assistant to the Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, successfully re-elected in May. Earlier, she worked as a policy adviser for the Opposition Forum at Surrey County Council, having achieved a First Class degree in Law from Reading University, and worked as a food bank supervisor at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
Rud Pedersen’s UK Managing Partner Jon Aarons commented “Chelsea is a super talented and creative professional who brings a valuable political campaigns background to our public affairs team, as we ramp up the Rud Pedersen UK business. Amid the current political uncertainty, at home and abroad, we’ll continue to build a diverse offering with public policy and communications expertise across the spectrum.”
Chelsea Whyte added “I have been fortunate to work across a range of political institutions in both the UK and Brussels, collaborating with some of the best in policy and campaigns. I am looking forward to bringing this experience to a new and exciting role at Rud Pedersen’s growing London office and working alongside the wider group across Europe.”
