The results of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) elections have been announced following the close of the ballot at 5pm on Monday 22 September.
In total 1,100 votes were cast by the 8,002 eligible CIPR members, a significant increase on last year’s turnout.
Rob Brown FCIPR is confirmed as CIPR President-Elect 2015 having stood unopposed. He will serve a three-year term on the CIPR Board as President-Elect, President and Immediate Past-President. Brown will be joined by Grant Thoms MCIPR (pictured right) as Honorary Treasurer following a two-way contest. Thoms will serve a two-year term on the CIPR Board and CIPR Council respectively.
Twenty other candidates put themselves forward for the CIPR Council, and the following eight were elected:
- Stuart Bruce MCIPR
- Lindsey Collumbell MCIPR
- Richard Evans MCIPR
- Andy Green FCIPR
- Anne Gregory FCIPR
- Sarah Hall FCIPR
- Jason MacKenzie FCIPR
- Jenifer Stirton FCIPR
Eight CIPR Council seats were contested on the Sector Groups List by ten candidates. The following candidates were elected:
- Andrew Bartlett MCIPR (CIPR STEM)
- Rachael Clamp MCIPR (CIPR Public Affairs)
- David Hamilton MCIPR (CIPR Fifth Estate)
- Eva Maclaine FCIPR (CIPR International)
- Mandy Pearse MCIPR (CIPR Local Public Services)
- Katherine Raven MCIPR (CIPR Fifth Estate)
- Jenni Wheller MCIPR (CIPR Inside)
- Paul Wilkinson FCIPR (CIPR Construction & Property)
Five CIPR Council seats were contested on the English Regions List by eight candidates. The following candidates were elected:
- Paul Cullen MCIPR (CIPR Greater London)
- Lisa Jones MCIPR (CIPR Midlands)
- Pam Lloyd MCIPR (CIPR South West)
- Justin McKeown FCIPR (CIPR Yorkshire & Lincolnshire)
- Abi Whitfield MCIPR (CIPR North West)
Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales have reserved seats on the CIPR Council, and the following candidates were elected:
- Northern Ireland: Chris Love MCIPR (unopposed)
- Scotland: Laura Sutherland MCIPR
- Wales: John Wilkinson FCIPR (unopposed)
