Westminster Wanderers are an established and successful Sunday League Football Club playing in and around Wandsworth and Merton. We are looking for new players for the 2016-17 season.
We’ll start training in July and want to hear now from players interested in competitive Sunday league football for the next season.
We were born out of the Conservative Central Office side of the 1990s but now have Labour, Liberal and Tory staffers on the side as well as civil servants and PR and Public Affairs professionals. We’re very grateful for the support we’ve had from PubAffairs over the years.
We welcome new players and the growth of the club over a few years is because we are well organised and attract and retain good players.
We play in the Southern Sunday Football League. Our three league teams play to a high standard, train regularly and our home ground is on Tooting Common. Our Vet’s side plays friendly fixtures throughout the year in Battersea Park.
If you are a committed player who wants to be part of a successful club then please contact the Club Chairman Alex Aiken at westminsterwanderers@gmail.com or DM us on Twitter @WestminsterWFC
The club will be running training sessions during July and August on Tuesday and Thursday nights and plays 8-a-side on Monday evenings. New players are welcome to come to any of these sessions.
