The end of January will have Fantasy Football managers scouting around for the few newly available bargains following a disappointingly quiet mid-season transfer window. There was little change too at the top of the PubAffairs Fantasy Football League as the top five managers from the end of December continue to form the elite at the end of January.
Notably however, Andrew Lewin (Associate Director - Blue Rubicon) has hurdled Dylan Sharpe (Head of PR – The Sun) to lead the way going into February, while Alan Gillam, Joshua Willison (Partnership Manager – The Crown Estate) and David Leach (Senior Policy Adviser - CBI) continue to lead the chasing pack.
The only new managers in the top ten this month are Ryan Devlin (Parliamentary Affairs Manager – Industry and Parliament Trust) and Matthew Wrelton (Technology Consultant – Inline Policy) who find themselves sitting in 9th and 10th place overall. They join regulars Nick Vaughan (Vice President – Teneo Strategy), Andrew Kernahan (Senior Consultant – Political Intelligence) and Andrew Brown (Senior Account Manager – MHP Communications).
Overall Points Table
January’s Manager of the Month accolade was won by Anthony Roberts (Senior Manager - RCVS), who edged out second-placed Anna Appleton (Account Manager – MHP Health) by three points. Roberts’ winning total of 273 was partially down to the good form of captain Santi Cazorla, the rejuvenated Stewart Downing and Belgian starlet Eden Hazard.
