The Newcastle based consultancy which celebrated its 7th anniversary this year, has welcomed two new members of the public affairs team to manage the growing demand in what will be a year of significant political change.
Georgia Jamieson has joined as Public Affairs Manager in a newly created role as the agency continues to make waves in Westminster. Georgia formerly managed public affairs operations for Virgin Money and has a wealth of experience working with businesses and elected members.
Earlier in 2024 Alex Kirkup joined the team as the consultancy’s first Public Affairs Manager from City of Durham MP Mary Foy’s office where he led on press and communications for the Labour Party politician. Prior to his work with the Labour Party Alex advised on economic development policy at Sunderland City Council.
Based in the North East but with clients and projects right around the country, the consultancy has grown from strength to strength with new and retained clients including renewable developers, education trusts and house builders.
Mark Stephenson Managing Director of Stephenson-Mohl Group said “2024 is an enormously important year for elections with significant change expected across local and Westminster politics. Alex and Georgia have a wealth of experience between them and are already working with clients to manage political risk and navigate the shifting policy landscape.”
The company which was founded in 2017 will also be opening its second office later this year in addition to it’s base at Newcastle Business Park.
