The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) has announced that Nick von Westenholz will join as the new CEO, starting in March 2025.
Nick brings extensive experience in agricultural policy and strategy, having served in roles like Director of Strategy at the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) and Chief Executive of the Crop Protection Association (CPA).
This marks a significant transition, as Teresa Dent CBE will be stepping down after 22 years of remarkable service as CEO. Teresa’s vision and dedication have shaped GWCT’s impact across the wildlife and game sectors, leaving an inspiring legacy that has empowered farmers, gamekeepers, and land managers alike. Her leadership will be celebrated for years to come, and we’re grateful for all she has achieved.
Nick said “I’m thrilled to be joining GWCT, an organisation I’ve respected for years. I look forward to advancing our mission and working with our dedicated team and supporters.”
