Blow will take up the post on 1st November and will counsel the firm’s international clients on EU and corporate affairs. He boasts two decades of experience in advising high-level clients on EU and corporate affairs. Blow founded his own boutique consultancy, Strategis Communications, in 2006 where he managed accounts including AT&T, Asda, Booking.com, Disney, eBay, Honda, McDonald’s, and Skype. Between 1999 and 2005, Blow worked as a Director of Cabinet Stewart European Affairs, which merged with Interel European Affairs in 2007. Blow previously worked as an adviser to a Member of the European Parliament and to a number of NGOs in the social sector.
Blow commented: “I have deep admiration for Brunswick’s culture, global reach, leadership and reputation. After ten years of running my own boutique firm, I am very excited by the opportunity of joining Brunswick’s global team of senior advisers”.
Philippe Blanchard, Managing Partner, Brunswick Brussels, said: “Nick will be a fantastic addition to our Brussels team at a time when digital disruption is core to the EU agenda and a central element of our clients’ business strategies. Nick has gained tremendous experience over the last ten years working on the digitalisation of the economy, with some of the biggest disrupters around, and has a deep understanding of the retail, luxury, and content sectors.”
Susan Gilchrist, Group Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Nick’s track record as an advisor to major multinational businesses strengthens our ability to advise the world’s most important business leaders on global affairs of strategic significance. His experience of managing client reputations and promoting client interests in Brussels and European capitals will be a real asset to Brunswick and our global clients.”
