Devolution specialist and UK public affairs titan Gill Morris has announced the launch of a new venture, Devo Agency.

Devo Agency has been founded on the principle that devolution is the agency of change and is critical to the delivery of the Government’s growth mission. The Government’s flagship commitment to completing the devolution map means we will witness the biggest shake-up in how we are governed in our lifetime.

Devo Agency is on a mission to bring together the best leaders, communications and public affairs professionals to create a talent pipeline which works to build advocacy, greater civic engagement and leadership; drive investment, opportunities and growth in all parts of England

Co-founded by Gill Morris, Rod Lyons and Carli Harper-Penman, Devo Agency will build the Devo “collective” to drive thought leadership, build consensus and voice for what needs to change in all parts of England.

Gill Morris said: "The launch of Devo Agency heralds a new approach to how public affairs and comms works outside the Westminster Bubble. London agencies often try to tick the devo box by putting the word “North” on the end of their name and opening an office in Manchester - which usually misses the point.

Devo Agency knows how to leverage influence and build strong campaigns and relationships which work to drive economic ambitions and deliver change. We understand the geographies and politics of devolution as well as how Westminster and Whitehall work. With full fat devolution tantalisingly close, the time is right for us to build Devo Agency and shape the policy debate on what good devolution looks like, what it means, what it’s for and why devolution is the agency of change.

We are bringing together the very best minds to help people and organisations navigate the changes, horizon scan and shape local and regional growth."

Devo Agency will launch Devo Network, its own ‘devo bubble’ and professional network in the Spring. To drive debate and connect great talent we will be offering an exciting opportunity for thought leaders, businesses, organisations, SMEs, Freelancers and communications professionals in all devolved areas to join our exciting new membership club to talk devolution and politics, build their own networks and benefit from informed and lively debate with, Ministers, Mayors, thought leaders and many others who are at the forefront of devolution and future governance.
