It’s Monday morning, and that can only mean one thing: Incisive Health’s summary of what captured our attention in health on Twitter last week.

  • Counting down to the General Election, this King’s Fund's infographic looks at public satisfaction with the NHS – always a hot topic with the electorate.
  • Policies, patients, spending, waits, life expectancy. Five things you need to know about UK health systems set out in this Nuffield Trust infographic, via @NuffieldTrust.
  • Life expectancy: which football fans are Premier League, asks Chris Cook (@xtophercook) for @bbcnews.
  • Professor John Young, NHS England’s Director for Integration and Frail Elderly Care, blogs on why frailty is a diagnosis not an adjective, via @docmdmartin.
  • A moving but practical blog on what to say when a baby is born with Down's syndrome, from parent Hayley Goleniowska (@DownsSideUp).
  • Dying Matters' (@DyingMatters) specially commissioned You Only Live Once film starring Brian Blessed and Julie Hesmondhalgh.
  • Healthwatch England is holding an inquiry into claims that dementia patients are being sent home without food or heating, via @PatientsAssoc.
  • A new report from the Medical Women’s Federation looks what makes a good role model for women in medical careers.
  • Wellcome Trust-funded research into a new genomics technique could improve treatment and control of malaria, via @wellcometrust.
  • Global scientific output has been doubling every 9 years since World War II, according to this paper in Nature.
  • And finally, from across the Atlantic, the 50 most influential leaders in US health.

Incisive Health is the new force in health policy and communications. In an NHS environment that is noisy, changing rapidly and where decision-makers are under intense pressure, policy communications need to be incisive to make an impact. We know how to cut through the noise and competing priorities to deliver results that enhance our clients' businesses and reputations and – ultimately – improve healthcare for patients.
