Incisive Health, a specialist health policy and communications agency, has announced it is strengthening its growing international practice further with two senior hires in its Brussels office.
Francesca Scassellati Sforzolini will join the organisation as Managing Director and Head of Brussels Office. She will be supported by Agnes Brandt who has been hired as an Account Director. Both will be joining Incisive Health in October.
Sforzolini brings over 20 years of public affairs experience to the position, having previously been Director of Healthcare for Bursonâ€Marsteller, as well as serving in senior positions within global multi-nationals and leading not-for-profit and advocacy groups in Brussels. Most recently, she was Public Policy Manager and Press Officer at GS1.
Brandt will also add extensive EU health policy knowledge to the team, having previously worked as Senior EU Policy Officer at Carbon Market Watch and as Head of Office and Policy Advisor to MEP Matthias Groote, former Chair and S&D coordinator of the Committee for the Environment, Food Safety and Public Health (ENVI).
More than half of the consultancy’s 28 staff now advise international clients, including 23andMe, AbbVie, Apifarma, the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations (CoMO), the Global Lung Cancer Coalition (GLCC), European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), European Liver Patients Association (ELPA), MSD, Norgine, Pfizer, Roche and Shire.
Commenting on the appointments Sarah Winstone, Founding Partner at Incisive Health, said: “Over the last year, our international practice has gone from strength to strength. We now want to take it to that next level by appointing the best and brightest to our growing Brussels office.”
Sforzolini added: “Europe faces big health challenges and, increasingly, countries are looking to learn from each other as they face up to how to improve health at a time of growing need and constrained budgets. Clients need a team with ambition, expertise and flexibility. That’s precisely what Incisive Health is offering – and I’m thrilled to be joining the team.”
Brandt said: “There is a debate raging about the role Europe should play on health. I look forward to bringing my experience of the Parliament to bear in helping clients secure the best health policies for the citizens of Europe.”
