Public and corporate affairs consultancy Newington has announced it is hiring Richard Holden as it continues to develop its corporate affairs offer.
Holden has over a decade’s experience in communications and campaigns, most recently as a media Special Adviser to Sir Michael Fallon at the Ministry of Defence.
Having started at Conservative Headquarters in 2007, Holden has a strong media network and worked as Deputy Head of Press for the Conservatives before standing for Parliament in 2015. He then took up a position as Special Adviser to the former Leader of the House of Lords, Baroness Stowell, and stayed on to work for the current Leader, Baroness Evans of Bowes Park, before joining the Ministry of Defence last year.
He will join Newington as an Associate Director working across a range of corporate communications and public affairs accounts, alongside Director of Corporate Affair Muniya Barua who was previously Director of Communications at the CBI.
