Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), a global strategic communications agency, has announced the hire of Alain Berger as an Executive Strategy Director at the firm’s Brussels office.
Berger is the latest in a series of high profile hires and brings to H+K over two decades of private sector experience in a wide variety of policy sectors. In his new role, Berger will lead the Brussels teams working for energy, industry, telecoms and transport clients. He will also develop the strategic public affairs advisory capacity for French clients and markets.
Berger joins the agency from Alstom where he was Head of the Brussels office and Senior Vice President for European Affairs. Prior to settling in Brussels, he was the President and CEO of Alstom China based in Beijing and sat on the Board of 18 Joint Ventures with Chinese partners. He also held major corporate positions in Latin-America and the United States. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Associate members of the “Rail Forum Europe”, former President of the “Club des Grandes Entreprises” and Vice-President of the European Section of the French Trade Advisor Group (CCE).
