FTI Consulting has announced seven new appointments to their Competition, Trade and Financial Services as they expand their Public Affairs and Corporate Communications practices within the organisation’s Strategic Communications branch in Brussels.
The global advisory firm has appointed Massimo Baldinato, John Clancy, Kyra Obolensky and Roeland Van der Stappen as Senior Directors, Robrecht Vandormael as Director, Maria Tsoni as Senior Consultant and Matilda Wallmon as Consultant. The Brussels team now boasts 60 consultants, specialising in Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT), financial services, healthcare and life sciences, energy and natural resources, industrials, agrichemicals and competition policy.
Massimo Baldinato, an Italian national, will join FTI’s TMT practice. He previously worked in the European Commission as a Member of Cabinet of a former Vice President. John Clancy, who served as spokesperson for previous EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht, will specialise in political communications in the areas of trade, industry and foreign affairs. Kyra Obolensky will draw on her extensive experience in corporate communications, political communications and public affairs to focus on energy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, ICT and professional and financial services. Finally, Roeland Van der Stappen will advise on public affairs issues in financial services, taxation, digital economy, trade, competition policy and raw materials.
