Wales’ leading public affairs agency, Deryn Consulting, has announced their second expansion in 2023, with the addition three new members of staff and a full-time paid intern. This follows a record-breaking year for the company, which has supported more than 60 clients across the private, public and third sectors so far.

Founded in 2012 by ex-Welsh Government special advisor Cathy Owens and ex-Plaid Cymru Senedd Member Nerys Evans, Deryn is now into its eleventh year as a leading player in Welsh public affairs assisting clients across devolved politics in Wales; from those based in the education and health sectors to finance, sport, culture and more.

Jennifer Jordan joins the Deryn team in a new role of Account Manager and Operations, having previously worked as the Senior Policy Adviser at CBI Cymru, and the Welsh Government beforehand. Outside of work, Jen is a member of Victim Support’s Wales committee, a sub-committee of the national Victim Support board.

Krishna Patel and Caitlyn Akass have joined to bolster Deryn’s monitoring and research team, and Bath University Student Dylan Collier has joined the team on a one-year, full-time paid internship.

Deryn Director Nerys Evans added ‘“We’re delighted to be further expanding our team and welcoming Jennifer, Krishna, Dylan and Caitlyn on board. I know their passion for politics, policy and campaigning will benefit our clients – and we are proud that we are continuing with our innovative, inclusive and cross-party approach to public affairs – constantly working to provide the best advice and support to our clients.

“The last year has been one of significant growth for Deryn, and we have supported over 60 clients this year already and we will continue to invest in the growth and future of our employees and company at large.”
