Curtin&Co has announced the hire of Gemma Welch and Lucy Yaqub, both Conservative activists, as Account Executives.
Welch and Yaqub join the public affairs team from previous roles working for MPs. Welch worked in the constituency office of Conservative MP and Mayoral candidate Zac Goldsmith. She also served as the Assistant Campaign Manager for both Twickenham MP Dr Tania Mathias and Kingston and Surbiton MP James Berry.
Yaqub previously worked in the Parliamentary Office of Paul Burstow MP while he was a Health Minister in the Coalition Government. She played a key role in organising the 2015 General and local election campaigns for Mole Valley Conservative Association.
Tom Curtin said: ‘‘Both Gemma and Lucy are great additions to our team and will continue to strengthen our credentials. Their experience in Parliament and as a key part of the local campaigning machine means they understand the most pertinent issues facing the development industry from all levels of government. We have no doubt that their advice will greatly benefit our clients and their projects.’’
As the company continues to grow, Curtin&Co has also announced the promotion of Krystian Groom and David Scane from Account Managers to Associate Directors.
