Blue Rubicon and Open Road have been appointed by Cancer Research UK to help shape their messaging and engagement programme in the build up to the 2015 General Election.
Blue Rubicon acquired Open Road earlier in 2014 as they looked to broaden their offering to include new capabilities in public affairs, employee engagement and healthcare communications in the UK.
Layla Theiner, Cancer Research UK’s Head of Public Affairs and Campaigning, said:
“Open Road and Blue Rubicon’s integrated offer combines the policy and campaigning knowledge with the digital expertise we need to ensure we maximise our campaign’s impact around the general election.
“The public-facing element of our campaign is essential to capture the imagination of our many supporters who we hope will help us engage politicians ahead of the next Parliament. Raising understanding of cancer amongst policy makers is an important part of our commitment to beat cancer sooner.”
Open Road Head of Healthcare Alexa Knight, said:
“CRUK is leading the way in working with policy makers in the fight against cancer. We will be combining our understanding of election campaigning with digital capability to ensure CRUK’s messages reach and resonate with the next generation of Parliamentarians.”
Blue Rubicon Associate Director Mark Pack, said:
“The best digital campaigns are rooted in insight. Our approach combines digital and political research and understanding to spark creative ideas.”
