Camlas has announced the appointment of Angela Burns as the new Chair. Camlas rebranded from Positif at the start of the month. ‘Camlas’ is Welsh for canal. Camlas will channel thoughts and ideas and help its clients navigate the world of government and politics in Wales, unlocking new opportunities.
Angela Burns was a Member of the Senedd for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire from 2007 until 2021. Angela is respected across the political spectrum and not only brings to the Camlas team her considerable experience in Welsh politics but also a wealth of knowledge in business, having worked for John Lewis and Thorn EMI, before running her own business in west Wales.
Speaking of her appointment, Angela said: “I was drawn to Camlas because of the company’s enthusiasm and clear direction of travel. I look forward to working closely with the team and their fantastic clients who work so hard to influence the political sphere in Wales and seek to make our country a better place.”
