A new consultancy practice, Brown O’Connor Communications, has been launched by two of Northern Ireland’s experienced PR and public affairs professionals Chris Brown and Arlene O’Connor.
Based in Belfast city centre, the agency will specialise in lobbying, corporate media relations, crisis communications and planning PR.
The company has also developed a specialist litigation PR offer for Northern Ireland to support those involved in high profile court cases, public legal disputes and inquiries.
The company has ambitious plans and hopes to have a presence in London towards the end of this year to develop its practice in the political and financial hub as Brexit negotiations develop.
Company founders Chris Brown and Arlene O’Connor said: “Communications has gained ground as an essential element for many businesses serious about their reputation and performance. PR and lobbying are now business critical functions and we have developed a practice which understands that and provides clients with a professional service like a lawyer or an accountant would offer.
"We are in a unique position as our networks overlap the likes of the media, politics, business and the public sector so our influence and ability to access the right people at the right time is essential for clients. Between us we have over 20 years of experience. We knew the time was right to bring forward our new offer which places emphasis on communications strategy development and helping organisations and companies get it right from the outset.
“Clients want strategic advice but they also come to us to connect them into decision makers. Our focus is on getting detailed insight so that we can bring our knowledge on who to influence to ensure positive impact and outcomes.”
