Hume Brophy has announced the appointment of former Conservative Shadow Minister and Select Committee Chair Anne McIntosh to its international parliamentary team.
As Senior Consultant, McIntosh will join the agency’s UK Public Affairs team to advise clients on strategic issues across a range of sectors. Hume Brophy is an international communications firm specialising in campaigns spanning financial services, TMT, healthcare, agri-business, energy and environment, and aerospace and transport.
McIntosh has been at the forefront of British politics as both an MP and MEP over the course of her 30-year political career. She was a Conservative MP for Thirsk and Malton and served as Chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee from 2010 until the General Election earlier this year. A Scottish Advocate (barrister), she was on the Conservative Front bench for nine years and was a Shadow Minister for a number of government departments including Transport, Work and Pensions, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Culture, Media and Sport.
