The Department for Health and Social Care has launched a ‘blueprint’ setting out proposals to bring the UK’s health and care services closer together, as well as to help build back better by improving care and tackling health inequalities. The ‘Integration and Innovation: working together to improve health and social care for all’ white paper, initially leaked to Health Policy Insight over the weekend, aims to dismantle the competitive tendering regime of the Lansley era and provide the Health Secretary with more direct control of NHS England.
The Whitehouse Consultancy’s respected health policy team has produced a briefing providing a detailed analysis of post-pandemic NHS reform, the reactions in Westminster, Whitehall, and the UK’s wider healthcare sector, as well as implications for industry stakeholders, such as independent and voluntary providers of NHS services.
