Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

Your role will involve supporting client managers and directors in managing public affairs projects across multiple client accounts. The role would suit a highly organised and ambitious individual with experience or an interest in the healthcare/life sciences policy sector who aspires to make a difference to the lives of patients.

You will need to be highly self-motivated, happy to work from home in a fast-paced working environment, and educated to degree level with exceptional writing and verbal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive key client projects, support project management, undertake research and develop client documents and materials;
  • Be able to liaise effectively with clients and external stakeholders, including politicians, patient groups, clinicians, to providing support and advice across the agency’s functions;
  • Be able to draft responses to parliamentary, government and other consultations/developments;
  • Monitor the political and healthcare policy environment to feedback timely intelligence to all relevant internal staff and clients, including supporting the delivery of our weekly policy monitoring digest;
  • Track the progress of parliamentary activity, such as debates and ministerial questions;
  • Develop and manage stakeholder databases, assessing developments with stakeholder activity and acting on it where necessary;
  • Be a point of contact for the offices of politicians and public officials, including parliamentarians, All-Party Parliamentary Groups, parliamentary committees, government departments and other stakeholder groups;
  • Present information and updates to clients in regular online and face-to-face meetings.
