You will work with a range of internal and external partners to develop clear positions for the business and advocate those with a broad range of stakeholders across Westminster. This is a senior manager role in the business. Your responsibilities will be wide ranging and include ensuring we establish long term positions on key policy issues, having a grip-on and presenting information about our business and interfacing with stakeholders to support new initiatives. You will be playing a key role in the team, supporting the UK Head of Government Affairs and your Government Affairs Manager colleagues at the national and local level. Who is this role for?
This role is for someone who is ambitious to secure large scale change in the UK policy environment for the betterment of the UK advanced manufacturing sector and the JLR business. You will:

- Have significant experience of policy and regulatory issues which impact business;
- Have experience of working in or with large corporate businesses;
- Have demonstrable, quantitative and analytical skills;
- Have a flexible approach to developing and advocating policy in a complex business and political environment;
- Be a confident and inspirational influencer;
- Enjoy engaging with stakeholders at all levels, national and local, to represent the business;
- Be able to process and present complex business information to external stakeholders;
- Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Be a key member of the UK team but also working with colleagues in China, Brussels, Sao Paulo and Washington DC, so an international mind-set would be an advantage.
