PLMR, awarded Consultancy of the Year at the 2013 Public Affairs News Awards, has been hired by the Bingo Association to support their lobbying and media relations efforts. The Bingo Association, the trade body for licensed bingo operators in the UK, is campaigning to reduce Gross Profits Tax for the industry from 20% to 15%.
The PLMR team working on the account, Elin Twigge, Danny Wilding, Francesca Dobson and Uche Graves, will support the Bingo Association to secure a tax reduction on the industry from 20% to 15%. The campaign will work to convince policy-makers that a reduction in taxwill result in long-term growth for the Bingo Association and will create greater employment opportunities in the industry.
Elin Twigge, PLMR Deputy Managing Director, said: “We are really pleased to be working with an organisation and an industry at the heart of communities across the country. Bingo makes an important social and economic contribution and we are looking forward to running an integrated media and public affairs campaign to ensure the voice of the industry is heard at the highest levels and a reduction in taxation is achieved.”
